~In Between Every Heartbeat~ Aston,Marv and me :D

Chapter 1:

“Aston, stop!” I yelled laughing as my best friend tackled me onto the floor. “Not till you say you’re sorry,” he answered back pinning my arms to the floor. He was talking about him going to the prom with this girl from school that I’d said told him was a bimbo. “No, you shouldn’t be taking her,” I said back. He looked me directly in the eyes, “Then who should I be taking?” “You should be taking me,” I said looking up at him. “I asked you and you said you’d think about it and never said anything since. That was like a month ago,” he answered. “Was not, it was 2 weeks ago, genius,” as I tried to get up. “You’re not going anywhere till you tell me your answer. Your mom won’t be home for like another hour. I don’t mind sitting on top of you till then,” he kept his hands around my wrists. “Uhhh….Aston. Get off me,” I yelled. He leaned down getting close to my face; I could feel his breath on me, “Not a chance babe.” I rolled my eyes, “I’m not talking to you till you move.” “Your choice babe, like I said, I don’t mind,” he laughed still on top of me. “I’m going to tell my mom on you when she gets here,” I said trying to get him to move. “I don’t care. Your mum loves me, see whose side she takes, yeah babe,” he smiled. Even though I was angry he wouldn’t let go, when he smiled I always melted inside.  “I want to go to prom with you, happy now? Get off me,” I moved but he wouldn’t let go. “Are you really sure?” he leaned closer to me. “Yes, I want to,” I whispered looking at him. He got closer to my face and I thought he was going to say something smart to me again but instead he leaned in kissing me. I don’t know exactly how it happened but we ended up laying on my living room floor kissing and talking about prom until my mom got home.

Chapter 2:

 I shouldn’t have kissed him back cause I knew I was moving away and I didn’t want to go to prom with him, we start dating, then I had to leave. I should have just left it alone and said no. But it turns out, prom was the most amazing night Aston and I had together. The next two weeks we spent every second together. We didn’t talk about the week before prom and stuff went back to normal between us. Summer had just started and I was moving soon. I didn’t wanna go, didn’t wanna leave my best friend since second grade behind but I had no choice. The morning that I was moving Aston was suppose to come over to help me finish packing. It was really early, like six AM early, when I heard someone open my window. “If you’re a kidnapper or a robber, come back in about three hours, I’ll be up then, it’s not a good time now,” I said yawning turning over on my bed towards my wall. I heard the window close and someone kick off their shoes and get into bed with me. “I want to kidnap you so you don’t have to move away,” the voice whispered putting their arms around me and pulling me close, “I don’t want to lose you.” I would have recognized that voice anywhere, it was Aston.  I turned over so I was facing him burring my head in his chest, “Me too,” I whispered back. He kissed my forehead as I drifted back to sleep.  I woke up still in Aston’s arms. I looked at the clock above Aston’s head; it was only half past seven. He was sleeping. I could stay right here forever. I didn’t want to move, there had to be another way.

Chapter 3:

I woke up again to Aston awake, looking at me,” I wish there was something I could do, so that you could stay here with me.” He stroked my hair as I looked up at him,” Yeah, I know. I’m sorry. I’d stay if I could. But I don’t know any other way.” He didn’t say anything for a bit. I just heard his steady breathing. Finally, “Wait I’ve got it. You can move into my house.” “Yeah right, like your mom’s going to let me move in,” I laughed. “You’re my best friend, course she will. I’ll be right back. Let me go ask her,” he kissed my cheek, got up, put on his shoes, and went out my window. I smiled sitting up. Maybe she’d say yeah. I got out of bed and went to take a shower. I stepped into my bathroom connected to my bedroom and got in the shower. I heard the door open and someone walk in. I moved the curtain back and saw Aston sitting on the counter looking at me. I finished my shower and got dressed. Aston and I went into my kitchen to make breakfast; I wanted to eat before I heard what his mom had decided.

Chapter 4:

Aston held me from behind as we walked down my stairs into the kitchen. My mom was gone she was on business until tonight when we were suppose to start moving. “What do you feel like Aston?” I asked opening the fridge. “Whatever you’ve got babe,” he answered walking over to me. We went through the fridge and decided on toast with bacon, eggs and pancakes. We sat there eating when Aston said, “So my mum didn’t think it was a good idea for you to move away from your mom, said it’s not her place or sumthin like that.” “Oh ok.” That was all we said about it. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out together knowing that I had to leave. By the time my mom pulled in we were sitting on my balcony watching the sun go down. I was sitting on Aston’s lap, our legs out over the side. He had his arms wrapped around me, “I’m going to miss you a lot. Don’t know what I’ll do without you here.” “I’m going to miss you too, I wish I didn’t have to leave, I’d take you with me if I could,” I replied. “Me too,” he answered. My mom yelled up for me to get downstairs to start putting boxes into the moving truck. We got up and Aston stopped me grabbing my hand,” wait a second; I have something to give you.” He reached into his pocket pulling out a small box. He opened it and inside was a beautiful heart shaped locket. “This way, you’ll always have me with you,” he smiled putting it on me. I opened it and there were two pictures of us, one from when we were about ten and one from my birthday last year. “I love it,” I said looking at Aston. We stood in my room, where we’d spent countless summers listening to music, watching movies, sleeping, everything. Aston put his arms around me as I started to cry, not wanting to leave. He hugged me tighter, “Don’t worry, I’ll come visit you, every chance I get, so much you’ll get sick of me.” After a few minutes I managed to stop crying and he let me go as we started downstairs. We were just about to walk out the door when Aston said, “I forgot to tell you something else.” “What is it?” I asked. “I love you,” he smiled. “I love you too,” I said. “Wish you would have told me sooner, we could have done something about it,” he said sighing. “Yeah, I’m sorry, but at least you know now,” I answered. He smiled kissing me, and for a second the world stopped. I forgot I was leaving, it was just me and him and nothing else mattered. My mom’s yelling broke the kiss and he pulled away. “I better go home; I’m never going to forget you. I love you. I always have and I always will,” he said pulling me towards him hugging me. I couldn’t believe my best friend had been in love with me so long and didn’t say anything. An hour later I was in the moving truck riding to catch a plane back to America where my mom was from and where I’d moved from when I was nine. I still had my American accent.

5 years later:

Chapter 5:

Aston and I kept in touch for a while texting and calling each other. He even came to see me for a week the summer after I moved. He ended up making love to me the night before he left for home. Afterwards he didn’t call or anything anymore. I figured maybe he just didn’t want to talk to me. That was four years ago and now I’m moving back to the UK, London actually. My plane arrived and I pulled up to my apartment. I was supposed to be a roommate with two other girls and a guy.  I went up and knocked on the door. A girl with brown hair answered the door, “hey I’m Savi, you must be Marina.” “Yeah, hi,” I said as she pulled me into a hug. I followed her into the living room. “I’ll get the other guys,” she smiled. “Marvin,Alizar !” she yelled. This other girl came out of a room on the side by the kitchen and a guy came running down the stairs, shirtless, “What Savi?” “Our new roommate is here,” she answered taking my hand showing me to them. “Yay!”Alizar said running up to me hugging me,” Hey my name is Alizar . What’s yours?” “Marina,” I answered feeling nervous. “I’m Marvin, nice to meet you Marina,” he smiled shaking my hand. “Come on, we’ll show you your room,” Savi and Alizar said excitedly dragging me upstairs. “This one is yours,” Alizar said opening the door. “Yeah, you’re right across from Marvin,” Savi added. “It’s amazing, thank you for letting me live here,” I said looking around the room. “Awww it’s no problem,” Savi answered, “Well, me and Alizar are going to get Nando’s we’ll let you start unpacking. What do you want?” “Um, whatever you guys are having, let me give you some money,” I said reaching for my book bag. “Hey, na, it’s no problem we got it,” she said pushing my money away. “We’ll be back,” said Alizar pulling Savi downstairs.  I heard them yelling to Marvin they were leaving.

Chapter 6:
I went and started taking my bags and suitcases of stuff up to the room. The movers had left everything on the porch. I got the mattress and started trying to get it into the apartment. “Let me help you,” Marvin laughed running from the couch to me, still shirtless. He took the mattress and toted it up stairs sitting it in the room on the floor. “Thanks,” I replied. “No problem babe,” he said smiling. He was gorgeous but just as I thought it Aston popped into my head. ‘I love you’ I heard him say. It’s been four years, why couldn’t I just stop thinking about him? I moved the rest of my stuff in and Savi and Alizar came back with the food. We all ate together talking and it turns out we all get along pretty well.

Three months later:

Chapter 7:
Savi , Alizar,and me had become best friends since I moved in. We did almost everything together. Marvin was pretty cool too. “So I think someone has a crush on you,” Savi laughed as her, and I sat on the couch watching tv. “Like who?” I questioned. “Someone who lives here, and is in the kitchen right now,” Alizar laughed. “Yeah right, Marvin doesn’t like me,” I replied. “mhm, sure. That’s why he was staring at you when we went swimming and offering to help fix your door,” Savi said. “You guys are over reacting, he doesn’t like me. “ I said. “Well then, go ask him if you’re so sure,” Alizar said. I got up off the couch, “Okay I will.” I started walking into the kitchen and then turned around. And Savi kept motioning me to go. I walked into the kitchen and Marvin was making smoothies. “Want one? Its mango,” he said to me. “Sure,” I answered, “I wanted to talk to you about something.” He finished making them handing me mine as we sat down at the table. “Okay babe, what’s on your mind?” he drank some of his. “Well, you see the girls have this like crazy idea that you like me or something, so I just thought I’d come in here and ask you straight.” “Oh. I see. Well, to be honest I do like you. Savi’s been telling me to say something to you about it but I didn’t know what you’d say.” He answered. “Oh,” I replied drinking some of my smoothie. “Yeah, so would you like to go out sometime?” he asked me. “Yeah, I’d like that,” I said getting my smoothie and walking back into the living room. I felt bad instantly for saying yes thinking of Aston. I had to get over him he didn’t want anything to do with me anymore. I had to give Marvin a chance.

Chapter 8:

Marvin and I went out on a date the next Friday to Nando’s. He was really sweet and kind. After we ate we walked around just looking at shops and stuff. Around nine thirty we headed back to the apartment. Marvin came around opening my door for me and help me out. We walked out together up the steps to the apartment. Marvin unlocked the door and then stood next to me, “I had fun tonight Marina. Actually the best time I’ve had in ages to be honest.” I smiled, “Me too. Thanks.” He smiled back at me then said, “So is it too soon for a first kiss?” I thought of Aston once again but then pushed it out of my mind. “No, it’s the perfect time.” He pulled me close and leaned in kissing me, it felt good. I felt protected in his arms. Afterwards we walked into the house to find Alizar and Savi wanting all the details. “Geeze guys,” I laughed. “We had a good time,” Marvin answered smiling at me,” that’s all.” “Yeah, I think I’m gonna go shower. I’ll be back down.” I said walking up the stairs smiling to myself.

Three Weeks Later:
Chapter 9:

Marvin and I had been dating, he was honestly super sweet. He made me feel better, I found myself actually starting to get over Aston. He was in a group called JLS that had become popular over in the UK while I was gone. His two other band mates were Savi and Alizar’s boyfriends. Savi’s was named JB and Alizar’s was Ortise. I’d met them and they were nice. Marvin’s other band mate I hadn’t met yet because he was on vacation. We were going to a club to celebrate the boy’s number one single Love You More. Me and Marvin got to the club and into the VIP section meeting the rest of the guys. I’d hoped the other member of the band was nice like JB, Reesh, and Marv. We sat down with Savi, Alizar, JB, and Reesh. “So is he still comin?” JB asked. “Yeah bruv you know he’s never on time,” Reesh answered laughing.

Chapter 10:

About fifteen minutes later I heard Marv say, “Here he is, my main man.” Giving the guy who walked over a hug. I couldn’t see who it was because he was hidin by Marv’s hug. Marvin sat back down next to me then I saw who it was. It couldn’t be could it? Not him, not here. “Uh, Marv, I’ve got to use the restroom,” I said getting up and running towards the back of the club. I made it outside sitting on the curb. I couldn’t believe it was Aston. It’s been five years but I still got that rush when I saw him, still the same Ast, sweet smile, amazing get lost for days eyes, same hair…I couldn’t deal with it. I must of sat there for about five,ten minutes when I heard someone sit down beside me. I didn’t bother looking up. “You okay babe?” the voice asked, “Cause this sure don’t look like the bathroom.” I looked up. I’d know that voice anywhere, Aston was sittin next to me.

Chapter 11:

“No, I’m not okay, Ast,” I answered back, “I was just …I wasn’t expecting you.” “Well, babe, I wasn’t expecting you either. Marvin was talking about this girl all the time, how amazing she was, how beautiful, had no clue it was you,” he answered. “Really? “ I asked. “Yeah, god, can you stand up and give me a hug, I’ve missed you,” he replied. “Then how come you never came to see me after that night, no contact at all,” I stood up. “I’m sorry, I wanted to, but then I joined the band and they said it’d be hard to keep a girlfriend with us just starting out and all,” he stood up too. “Girlfriend?” I said as Aston looked at me. I melted inside a little, even though I was dating Marvin my feelings for Aston never completely left. “Yeah, girlfriend, after that night we spent together, my plan was to bring you back to the UK, to be with me, but I never got the chance cause your mom stopped me, said if I loved you I’d let you go, that it was for the best. All I’ve ever wanted was for you to just be happy. I don’t want you to hate me Marina,” he hugged me. Still the same Aston, God his arms were warm and his hands were soft. “I would have liked that, I never wanted you to leave, didn’t wanna leave you,” I looked up at him and he looked at me with those gorgeous brown eyes. “God, I swear Marina, you don’t know how much I’ve missed you,” he hugged me tighter. I hugged him back my head on his chest. He smelled so good I didn’t want to let go but I knew we had to get back inside. “Marina, I still love you,” he whispered letting me go. I pretended not to hear because I didn’t want to complicate things. I smiled at him, “I missed you too Ast,” I replied, taking the locket around my neck under my dress. “You kept it?” he asked. “Yeah,” I smiled. Aston looked like he was going to kiss me and I held my breath. Honestly I kind of wanted him to. Just then we were interrupted by the door opening, “What’s going on?”

Chapter  12:

Marvin stood there staring at us. “Hey bruv, well, you see Marina and me, we’ll we go way back, like ten years old back. We were best friends, till she moved back to the states,” Aston answered looking at me. Then I just realized Aston was holding my hand. It was normal to us, we used to do it all the time. Marvin saw and Aston quickly pushed away, “Sorry Marv, old habit.” Marvin just nodded and motioned for me to come back into the club with him. I started following him back as he went on back to the table, I looked back to see Aston staring at me, “I love you too.” I mouthed. I saw him smiled as we went inside. The club had people everywhere dancing and stuff. “Wanna dance babe?” Marvin asked me. “Sure,” I said as he took my hand pulling me to the floor. I saw Aston sitting there he was holding hands with some girl who had dark hair and eyes. She was really pretty. I guess it was his girlfriend. Thinking that killed me inside but I was with Marvin now. We were just friends again. Marvin and I were dancing around the floor when Aston and the girl he was talking to came out too. They danced to a couple songs and Aston’s dance moves were the same. When the music stopped I went to sit down and they followed. “So Aston is this your girlfriend?” Marvin asked with his arm around me. “Yeah, this is Keshani,” he answered kissing her on the cheek. “This is Marina, she’s my best friend,” Aston said introducing me. “Its nice to meet you Marina,” she said waving to me. “You too,” I said back. The rest of the night we ended up talking and just being crazy. Turns out, Keshani was really nice. I’m glad Aston was happy with her. Marvin had called the cab round and we were getting ready to leave when Ast grabbed my arm, “Hey, wait I don’t wanna lose touch again, what’s your number?” I smiled giving him my number and he gave me his too. “Text you soon,” he said walking back with Keshani. Marv and I  got in the cab on our way home.

Chapter 13:

After Marvin and I got home he went to his room saying he was going to sleep. I guess he was still thinking about me and Aston. I went into my room getting ready for bed when I heard my phone vibrate. ‘Hey babe. xxA’ I text back, ‘hey. What’s up?’ ‘Nothing much. Laying in bed.’ ‘oh ok. I’m getting ready for bed now.’ ‘I wish someone was here to keep me company’ ‘why don’t you call your girlfriend?’ ‘ I think she likes someone else… L’ ‘oh. I didn’t know...i’m sorry.’ ‘it’s ok. I just can’t sleep.’ ‘Me either.’ Aston and I BBM’d  for about another hour before I went to sleep. I woke up going downstairs and into the kitchen. Marvin was there sitting at the table. I went over to him hugging him, “Good morning.” He smiled hugging me back, “Morning babe.”  I was making us breakfast as I heard Savi and Alizar come downstairs. “Morning,” they said sleepily. We all sat at the table eating talking about last night. “So you and Aston go way back huh?” Marvin said. Savi looked at me weird. I hadn’t told them yet about us. “Yeah, we we’re best friends from like 7 till I moved when I was nineteen.” I answered picking up my orange juice trying to distract myself. “Oh. That’s cool,” was all he replied. Afterwards Savi and Alizar went with me into my room so I could tell them what happened. “Oh wow, really?” Savi asked after I told them about me and Aston. “What are you going to do now Marina? I mean you can’t just know Aston is in love with you and not do anything about it.” Alizar said. “I don’t know. I mean Marvin has been so amazing to me. I don’t want to leave. What if Aston leaves again? Besides he’s got a girlfriend and she’s really sweet. I won’t get in the way of that. I’m not that kind of person. We’re just friends,” I said trying to make my heart believe it.

Chapter 14:

The next week I didn’t see much of Aston. Marvin and I hung out, he was really the sweetest guy and tonight he was suppose to be taking me out again. I woke up to someone knocking on my door. I got out of bed with just this huge t-shirt Aston had given me years ago when I’d slept at his house. It was about seven AM I was wondering who it could be. I opened the door to see Aston standing there. “Hey, can I come in?” he asked quietly. I moved and he walked inside sitting on the bed. I closed the door walking over and sitting next to him. “Are you alright Ast?” “Keshani said she needs some space,” he said looking at the floor. “I’m sorry Ast,” I put my hand on his back rubbing it. He looked up at me and his eyes were filled with tears, “I can’t believe she’d just say that to me. What am I suppose to do now?” I didn’t know what to say so I just opened up my arms and held him. I felt so bad. I wish I could make it better….
Chapter 15:
There was another knock at my door and I got up to open it. Marvin was standing there shirtless once again. “Hey babe,” he said leaning in kissing me. “Hey,” I said smiling. He was smiling too until he looked over my shoulder and saw Aston sitting on my bed,” What you doing here bruv?” he asked looking angry. “Just needed someone to talk to,” Aston answered. Marvin looked at me replying, “Can I talk to you for a sec.?” I turned around,” I’ll be right back Ast.” He nodded still looking at the floor. I followed Marvin into the hallway. “What’s going on with you two?” he questioned crossing his arms. “Nothing, he just got here. He’s sad. His girlfriend said she wanted space. What was I suppose to do Marv? He’s my best friend,” I replied. “I don’t like him being in there with you when you’re just in a shirt.” “What do you think is going to happen? He’s not like that. I’ve been around him my whole life. Nothing’s going on Marvin.” I said moving close to him. I opened his arms and put them around me, “I promise nothing is going to happen alright. We’re friends. That’s it.” He hugged me close whispering, “I just don’t want anyone to take you away. You mean to much to me.” I smiled, “I’m not going anywhere.”
Chapter 16:
Aston walked out of my room to see Marvin with his arms around me. “I’ll let you guys be, I think I’m going to go home,” he said moving past us walking downstairs. I looked up at Marvin and he nodded understanding. It was raining and Aston just walked right out in it. “Ast, wait,” I ran out after him. He turned around, “Marina, go back to Marvin. He loves you, I can see it in his eyes. I have to go home.” He kissed my forehead getting into his car. I stood there watching him drive away. What did he mean go back to Marvin? Did nothing he said last week mean anything? I went back inside eventually to find Marvin waiting by the front door with a towel wrapping it around me. “I’ll keep you warm babe,” he said holding me. I felt guilty because I leaned into his chest wishing it was Aston instead.

Chapter 17:

I tried to pretend it didn’t hurt me that Aston told me that. He just walked away didn’t even try to talk to me.  I got ready for my date with Marvin and tried to not think about Ast. At seven there was a horn outside. “Babe, you ready?” Marvin yelled up to me. “Yeah one sec,” I called down. I walked down the stairs in a black dress and black heels, my hair curled with makeup on. “Wow, you look…amazing,” Marvin smiled. “Thank you, You look pretty good too.” He had on a suit. He took my hand as we walked out the door. “Where are we going?” I asked as the limo pulled out of the driveway. “It’s a surprise.” We rode for about a hour before we reached a beach. We got out and Marvin walked me over to a table sat in the middle. “I figured you’d probably need a rest from Nando’s tonight,” he laughed pulling out my chair. I sat down taking off my shoes feeling the sand on my feet. He sat down across from me as the waiter brought over glasses and wine. He wanted to toast to us, him meeting me. i smiled. I didn’t drink so I just took a small sip and sat the glass back down. We talked and ate dinner then went for a walk on the beach after.

Chapter 18:

A hour and a half later Marvin was slightly drunk as we climbed back into the limo to go home. I helped him up to his room. I knocked on Savi’s door, there was no answer. Then Alizar’s door, still no answer. They must of went to JB and Reesh’s houses. I got Marvin into his bed getting up to walk into my room when he pulled me back. I looked at him, it couldn’t hurt to sleep next to him. After all, we were dating. I laid next to him and he started kissing me. I kissed him back and then pulled away laying down. He didn’t get the point and moved so he was over me. He started kissing my neck and I felt his hands run up and down my sides. “Marvin, I don’t think this is a good idea,” I said trying to move him. He didn’t budge. “Marvin stop,” I said he kept on and I couldn’t move. “Marvin stop!” I yelled. “Is it because I’m not Aston? Is that why you won’t ?” he asked slurring his words moving off of me. I didn’t know what to say so I got off the bed running into my room locking the door. I got my phone dialing the only number I could never forget. “Hello?” I heard the voice answer sleepily.

Chapter 19:

“He what?” Aston yelled through the phone. I told him what happened. “I’m coming right now,” he said hanging up. Marvin was passed out and I went downstairs to wait for Aston. I heard him knocking and I answered going outside with him. “Wanna come to mine? No one’s there. I don’t think you should be here right now,” he said pulling me into a hug. Geeze how I missed those. I hugged him back then got into his car. We arrived at his house and went inside. I climbed into his bed. “Thanks for coming for me Ast,” I said moving close to him. “You’re my best friend. It’s my job to protect you. He shouldn’t of done that to you. Besides after the week I’ve had I can use some company. I hate being here alone.” He stroked my hair. I fell asleep in Aston’s arms. It felt so right but I knew it was so wrong. I felt bad for leaving Marvin but I didn’t feel safe staying there after he acted like that. I woke up in the middle of the night with Aston’s arms still around me under the blanket. I moved closer to him and he started whispering, “I shouldn’t of listened to your mom. I should of came back for you. Then we’d be like this for real. Not just tonight. You’d be mine again. I love you Marina.” I don’t know if he knew I was awake or just moving so I pretended I was still asleep. Tears started forming in my eyes as he spoke. He kept talking for about five more minutes telling me stuff I guess he couldn’t tell me when I was awake. Tears ran down my face until I finally fell asleep.

Chapter 20:

I woke up to the sun shining in on my face. I looked around and then remembered everything that happened last night.  I turned over but Aston was gone. I sat up and he walked in with just a towel around his waist, his hair still damp. I tried not to stare cause he was still with Keshani  but it was really hard. “Mornin babe,” he said coming over kissing me on my cheek. “Good morning,” I answered. He smiled walking into his closet. A couple minutes later he came out in boxers which made it even harder. “So what do you want to do today?” “Oh, um, whatever you want to,” I answered. “Well, I just figured after last night you wouldn’t want to go back there right away,” he replied sitting down beside me. “Yeah, I don’t wanna see him right now,” I said laying my head on his shoulder. He put his arm around me. “It’s okay, I’m here for you,” he smiled.

Chapter 21:

Aston and I spent the day just lounging around his house watching movies and hanging out. It felt good just to be around him again. It was like we never left each other. Around nine at night and we were lying on his couch watching Dead Silence when the doorbell rang. Aston got up to answer it looking through the hole. He motioned for me to go into his room. Once I closed his door I heard the front door open. “What do you want?” I heard Aston sounding angry. “I did something really bad last night,” I heard Marvin answer. “Yeah, I know. Marina called me and told me.” Aston shut the door and I guess Marvin walked in. “She told you?” Marvin questioned. “Yeah, Marvin, I’m her best friend. Course she told me, and I can’t believe you’d do that to her,” Aston answered yelling. “I didn’t mean to. I was drunk. I’ve messed everything up…” Marvin said quietly. I waited for Aston to say something but he didn’t reply just sighed.

Chapter 22:

Finally he said, “Yeah, I know how that feels.” “What are you talkin bout Ast?” Marvin asked. “Keshani said she wanted space away from me cause she heard me taking about Marina in my sleep when I was drunk. She said I did it every time I was but this past time it was different cause she actually met her.” Aston said. “Oh, you really liked her huh?” Marvin replied. “No, I didn’t just like her, I loved her, she was…she was everything…like everything was better when she was around…you could be having the worst day ever and she comes along and its perfect again. I missed my chance Marv, don’t mess up yours, you’ve got something amazing. Don’t just throw it away like I did,” Aston said and then I heard him walking. I heard Marvin get up also and a door opened. “Thanks Aston, if you talk to her, tell her I’m sorry, and I didn’t mean it, she’s just well, my world and I couldn’t stand the fact that she might go back to you.” “I’ll tell her,” Aston replied as Marvin walked out the door.

Chapter 23:

I sat on Aston’s bed, tears welling up in my eyes. Aston opened the door and walked over to me, “hey babe, don’t cry.” He put his arms around me.  “Shhhh, it’s alright,” he said. “Aston, I’m so sorry.” “Don’t be babe,”  he answered hugging me tighter. “It’s my fault you and Keshani aren’t together and geeze what am I gonna do about Marvin?” I said tears still falling. “Do whatever it tells you here,” he pointed to my chest. Fifteen minutes later I’d stopped crying and Aston was still holding me. I looked up at him and he looked back at me. Those amazing brown eyes. “I love you but I know its for the best for you to go back to him. I know he loves you too,” he said smiling. “Yeah, I love you too,” was all I said. Aston leaned in, I know we shouldn’t but I couldn’t help it. He kissed me and It was like the first time. Fireworks all over again. Time stood still and it was just us. Aston pulled away, “I’m sorry…” “Don’t be, nothing to be sorry for. We both knew it was coming,” I said quietly. Afterwards he drove me back to Marvin’s. “Thanks Aston, for everything,” I said getting out. “No problem babe,” he answered, “You’re my best friend.” He smiled as I shut the door. What was I going to say to Marvin?

Chapter 24:

I watched Aston drive off then walked into the apartment and into the living room. Marvin was sitting there just staring at the t.v. “Hey,” I said walking over to him. “Marina,” he stood up pulled me into a hug, “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to do that last night. I’m sorry I was so drunk. I hope you can forgive me but I understand if you don’t.” “I forgive you Marv, Ast told me what you said,” I answered.  “I guess I’m going to have to get over the fact that you’re going to be around him,” he said still holding me. I didn’t say anything just let him hold me. A couple minutes later Savi and Alizar walked in. Marvin went to sleep kissing me on the forehead before he went upstairs. They followed me into my room and they asked where I was last night. “I left,” I said sitting on my bed. “Why? Did you and Marvin have a date last night?” Savi asked sitting on the floor, Alizar sitting next to her. “Yeah, we did and it was nice but after it wasn’t so I left. I just got back like fifteen minutes ago,” I answered. “When’d he come get you?” they asked. “Who?” I asked. “Aston,” Alizar said, “You weren’t here obviously you went with him,” she laughed. “He came last night after I called him, I stayed at his house, nothing happened, he’s not like that,” I said quietly. “He’s in love with you still you know,” Savi said. “When we first met him back before he was with Keshani, he used to talk about you all the time, he didn’t say your name but it was you,” Alizar said. I looked down, “She told him she wanted space because of me, I feel so bad. It’s all my fault.”

Chapter 25:

After we talked I went to sleep. I woke up to someone’s arms around me. I freaked out at first before turning around seeing Marvin laying behind me. He was shirtless in gray sweat pants. I moved closer to him because my clock said it was only 5:23 am. I felt him move waking up, “Hey.” “Hey, um, what are you doing in here?” I asked. “Oh, I’m sorry, I felt bad about last night. I’m going to so whatever it takes to make it up to you. I saw you sleeping so I crawled in behind you. If you want me to go into my room I will.” He said quietly. “No, I want you to stay, don’t leave,” I replied as he put his arms tighter around me, pulling me closer. I thought I should at least give him a chance. If it were reversed I’d probably think the same things as him. Besides Aston still had Keshani. I drifted back to sleep with Marvin.  I woke up again and the sun was shining in my face. I thought about telling him about me and Ast kissing but then decided not too. I didn’t want them to get into a fight or something because of me. I turned over and Marvin was gone. I crawled out of bed walking downstairs seeing Savi eating cereal. “Morning dude,” she said waving to me. I walked to the fridge getting orange juice and waving back at her. “Marvin left earlier, said he’d be back later.” She said putting her bowl in the sink. I nodded walking back to my room. I got back into bed hearing my phone vibrate. I picked it up and I had a text.

Chapter 26:

I clicked so it showed me. (Morning babe xxA)  (Morning Ast.)  (So I heard Marvin’s out for the day, want to hang out? Axx) ( Um, okay.sure. ) (Okay, get your bathing suit. We’re going swimming. :D pick you up in bout 2 hrs. Axx) (Okay. I’ll be ready.) I laid back down going to sleep. What had I got myself into? I should of told him no, right?... But then again we were still friends. just friends swimming…Marvin is not going to be happy… I slept for about a hour then woke up took a shower getting ready. I went downstairs to wait for Aston. I put on my bathing suit under my shorts and tank top with my flip flops. I heard a car pull up and I looked out the window Aston was getting out of his car. “Going out with Mr. Merrygold are we?” Alizar asked as she came downstairs. “Yeah, we’re going swimming,” I replied. “Mhm, swimming…” she laughed, “Have fun girl.” She hugged me going into the back yard saying she was going to tan before her date tonight with Ortise.

Chapter 27:

I opened the front door and Aston was walking up the steps to me, “Hey babe.” He pulled me into a hug twirling me around. “Hey Ast,” I replied hugging him back. We drove to the beach and it was sunny and warm outside. Aston locked his car as we walked hand in hand down the deserted beach. “This is nice,” he said after a while as we walked along. “Yeah, it is.” I replied. We sat down as Ast laid out a towel on the edge of the beach. “I like spending time with you Ast,” I said sitting next to him. “Me too, I’ve missed it, and you know I don’t care what anyone says, you’re my best friend and I’m going to see you no matter what,” he replied putting his arm around me, “Nothing’s going to change that.” I smiled as he stood up pulling me up, “come on time to get into the water.” He laughed. He took off his tank top and unbuttoned his pants pulling them down showing his swim trunks. He looked amazing. I couldn’t stop staring. I pulled my tank top off and unbuttoned my shorts throwing them on top of Aston’s. He just stood there staring at me. “Earth to Aston,” I said waving my hand in front of his face. “Oh, sorry,” he blushed,” You just..look really beautiful.” I smiled and took his hand as we walked into the water. The waves came crashing around us. We spent the day laughing and joking around.

Chapter 28:

“Come on, I want to watch something with you,” Aston pulled me out of the water putting a towel around me. He started a fire on the beach and we sat in front of it. The sun started setting and we watched it go down. “It’s beautiful Ast,” I said as I sat next to him, warm cause of the fire. “Yeah it is,” he answered whispered. “Marina, there’s something I want to tell you.”  “Yeah Ast?” I moved the towel cause I felt dry by now. “I love you,” he answered, “and I wish we we’re together. But I know you’re with Marvin so I won’t stand in your way. I just thought I’d tell you.” I didn’t know what to say, just sat there for a minute. “Aston, I love you. I never stopped. But I’m with Marvin, we can’t do this,” I replied. He took my hands in his, “Why not? I know you don’t love him. You love me. You just won’t admit it to him.” He looked me in the eyes. Those amazing, gorgeous, get lost for days, brown eyes. I hated when he did that cause I could feel myself giving in. “I don’t want to hurt him Aston,” I said. “You won’t I’m not with Keshani anymore, remember, she wanted space? All I want is a chance, please.I don’t want to be without you anymore. I promise if he finds out, I’ll take the blame.” He whispered. I looked at him and couldn’t help it. I gave in to him. His lips met mine and it was like fireworks. I knew it was so wrong but I couldn’t help myself.

Chapter 29:

He moved over top of me and his hands roamed up and down my body. He felt so good against me…..love. I felt his lips on my neck. “I love you Marina,” he whispered. “I love you too Aston, but we can’t do this here. Not on the beach,” I replied running my fingers through his hair. “Yeah, I know. Wouldn’t be good,” he smiled. We got up and back to his car. Before we got into his car, he pulled me close to him, his arms around my waist. “I’m sorry I didn’t fight for you,” he said. It’s not your fault. My mom told you to stay away,” I touched his cheek. He smiled. He drove me back to the apartment and he leaned in kissing me. “I’ll text you later,” he said as I shut his door. “Alright,” I smiled.  I walked up the steps reaching into get my key while Aston drove off.

Chapter 30:

Marvin opened the door, “Hey babe, where’d you go?” “To the beach,” I answered. “Oh alright, that’s cool. I’ve got a surprise for you,” he answered pulling me into the apartment. All the lights were off and I couldn’t see anything. I felt his hands cover my eyes. “No peaking babe,” he said leading me. I kept walking until he stopped me. “Ready?” he asked. He moved his hands and I saw the stairs covered with rose petals. He picked me up carrying me up them. The trail lead to his bedroom. I gave him a weird look. “Don’t worry. It’s not like that I won’t do anything. I promise.” He smiled. He moved the door open with his foot. The bedroom was lit with candles and rose petals. He sat me on the bed then moved into his dresser. “Marvin if you’re thinking what I think you’re thinking I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet,” I said. He turned around laughing at me, “No babe, not that. Least not yet.” He smiled. I smiled back feeling guilty about earlier. He got out a box and came over to me, “I bought you something earlier. That’s why I’ve been gone all day. I was putting this together.” “That’s so sweet Marv, you didn’t have to.” “I wanted to. You needed to see I’m not just some guy who thinks he can take advantage of you. I’m not like that. I’d never hurt you.” I smiled. I felt bad for freaking out on him so bad when he was right. Cause I’d just let Aston do what he’d tried to do when he was drunk… He handed me the box sitting down beside me. “I hope you like it. It took me a long time to pick it out,” he said looking nervous. I opened the box to find….

 

Chapter 31:

I opened the box and there was a silver necklace with a heart locket at the end inside. “Marvin, it’s beautiful,” I said. He picked it up putting it around my neck. “I’m glad you like it,” he smiled.  I looked up at him after and he leaned in kissing me. I kissed him back feeling guilty for earlier. I had no choice but to go along with him I couldn’t hurt him. He didn’t deserve that. I really liked him he was everything I needed. But I loved Aston…. He kissed me leaning me back on the bed. “You’re beautiful,” he smiled caressing my cheek. I smiled back as he kissed me again moving on top of me. He put his hand behind my head moving kissing down my neck. He felt good. “Marvin,” I said. “Yeah?” he looked up at me. “Let’s just forget about what happened earlier okay?” “You sure?” “Yeah,” I answered,” I’m sure.” I smiled. He smiled back wrapping his arms around me. I didn’t have any right to be mad at him for what he did. If Aston hadn’t come back into my life I’m sure we would have gone further cause I would of let him.

Chapter 32:

I feel asleep in Marvin’s arms a couple hours later after we’d talked and I’d convinced him there was nothing going on between me and Aston. When we woke up he took me to breakfast at Nando’s. He held open the door for me while I walked inside.  He held my hand as we walked up to the counter, “What do you want babe?” “Um, I don’t know..” “I know what you want. You want Nandino’s Chicken Breast Fillet Burger. It’s your fave. You get it every time you come here,” I heard a voice behind me. I turned and Aston was standing there in black jeans, a gray shirt, his white converse and gray beanie . He looked hot. I was speechless. “I can’t believe you remember that Ast,” I said, “We haven’t been to Nando’s together in like 5 years.” “Yeah, well,” he smiled rubbed the back of his neck with his hand,” I’m right aren’t I?” I smiled, “Yeah, you’re right. That’s what I want,” I turned to Marv. He nodded telling the woman behind the counter. I walked over to Aston whispering, “What you doin here?” “Got hungry,” he nodded, holding up his Nando’s bag. “Meet you later yeah?” he whispered asking winking and kissed my cheek before walking out. I nodded. Marvin turned around, “Alright, do you want to sit or take it with us babe?” “Um, let’s take it with us, go home and watch a movie or sumthin?” I replied. “Alright,” he kissed my forehead. We went back to the apartment after.

Chapter 33:

“Which film do you want to watch babe?” he asked sitting the Nando’s by the couch. “Um, I don’t know you chose.” “Hmm…want to watch The Notebook?” “Sure,” I said. He put it in and we sat, eating watching it. I felt like we were playing the parts in the story….After it was over Marvin got a phone call saying him and the boys had dance practice. “I’ll see you later babe, Sorry I’ve got to go,” he leaned down hugging me. “It’s alright,” I smiled. He picked me up twirling me around hugging me. “Have a good practice,” I said opening up the door for him. He kissed me. His lips were soft and warm, they felt good against mine. “I don’t want you to go,” I said. Did I just say that? I thought. “I know, but I’ll be back in a couple hours and we’ll pick up from here,” he whispered into my ear kissing me once more. “Okay,” I said as he walked out to his car. Was I actually feeling something for Marvin too?...

Chapter 34:

I went and took a shower and watched some tv. After I got a text from Marvin. (Cant wait till rehearsals done. I miss you already M.) He’d only been gone an hour. I smiled texting him back. (I miss you too. J) A couple minutes later I got a text from Ast. They must be on a break. (Hey beautiful. I miss you. Wanna come over later?Axx)  I felt bad for leaving Marvin. (Maybe tomorrow. Marvin is coming back right after rehearsal.) (Oh, alright. Tomorrow then J Can’t wait. Axx) ( Me either. ) ( I liked being with you last night and this morning babe. We were rehearsing to Other Side Of The World and it made me think of you.  M.) (Awww Marv. That’s so sweet.) Another message from Ast popped up.(I can’t wait till you’re in my arms again. I want to hold you and kiss you and show you how much I love you. Axx) Aston wanted to sleep with me? After all this time? (J I want you too.) I text back what I felt but instantly felt bad about it. Maybe I should just tell Aston I was happy with Marvin to go get Keshani back…

Chapter 35:

I lay on the couch watching TV until I heard Marvin; I got up as he was unlocking the door coming inside. “Hey babe,” I felt his arms around my waist. “Hey,” I answered hugging him back. His arms were big and toned. J “I missed you,” he said, his hand on the side of my face, kissing me. “I missed you too,” I said against his mouth. He kissed me harder this time, hands roaming through my hair. I felt him pick me up walking. “Where we going?” I asked wrapping my arms around his neck. “To my room,” he smiled, “More private there.” I smiled back. We went up the stairs and into his room. He kicked the door shut with his foot. He put me down kissing me, his arms roaming up and down my sides. His lips were on my neck, god he felt good. He walked me backwards to the bed, laying me down, climbing on top of me. I was looking up at him smiling. He got close to my ear and whispered, “I think you’re perfect.”  I wanted to laugh; he didn’t know how wrong he was. But instead I just smiled pulling him to me, his mouth meeting mine.  We moved so we were lying on our sides and we climbed under the covers. He pulled me close as we continued kissing. I felt his hand move my tank top up and rest on my side. It was warm. “Marvin um, I’m not ready to..” “I know. Me either… Not right now,” he answered, “I like us being like this.” “Me too.” We continued kissing lying in bed, hands roaming, exploring until Savi knocked on the door. “Marvin, um, JB ,Reesh, Alizar and me want know if you and Marina want go out tonight?” He looked at me,” If you want to.” “Alright Savi, we’ll go.” He answered. “Cool,” we heard her walk downstairs. “Now, where were we?” he asked pulling me towards him.

A week later:

Chapter 36:

Marvin was going out of town for a couple days to visit his cousins; the boys had a couple days off. “Please Marina, I want you to go with me,” he said as he packed. “Marv, I think you’ll be fine. I’ll be here waiting for you when you get back,” I said zipping up his suitcase. “Alright, it’s just that I’m going to miss you like crazy.” He said hugging me. “I’m going to miss you too,” I replied as he held me. “Alright, guess I better go, my plane leaves in 2 hours,” he looked at me, “You sure you don’t want to go?” “Marv, go have fun with your family,” I said. “Okay, Okay,” he replied kissing me like it was the last time we’d ever kiss. Afterwards, he went picking up his suitcase. I walked him to his car and watched him drive down the street. I went and cooked me some mac n cheese for dinner. I was scooping it out of the bowl when my phone went off. It was a text from Aston. (Marvin text me saying he’s leaving and to look after you for him. Axx) ( Oh did he?) (No. Reesh told me, I want to see you. Axx) (Right now Ast?) (yes, pack you’ll spend the weekend with me. please? JAxx) I thought about it I should say no. My head says no but my heart says go… (Alright. I’ll be ready in half hour.) (Cant wait.Axx) What was I getting myself into?..

Chapter 37:

I packed and was watching tv when Aston knocked on the door. I went opening it, “Hey beautiful.” “Hey Ast,” he pulled me into a hug. He was warm and I could feel his muscles… We got into his car and started the drive to his house. “So, we’ve got tonight, Saturday, Sunday and Sunday night. What do we do?” he said smirking giving me that cheeky smile of his. “I don’t know.” I said smiling back. I walked into Aston’s house. “Just us the whole weekend babe,” he took my suitcase putting it in his bedroom. We lay on his couch watching movies. By the time the last one ended it was about 1 am.i got up and  was looking in his kitchen for a drink when he put his arms around my waist from behind, “I’ve missed you.” I felt his lips kiss me neck sending shocks through my body. “Ast,” I whispered. “I like when you say my name,” he smiled cheeky at me. I turned around facing him. “I love you,” he whispered taking my hand and leading me into his bedroom. The lights were off and he shut the door locking it.

Chapter 38:

“Aston, I might be bad at this,” I said as he was shutting the door. “Why?” “I haven’t had…haven’t done…not since with you,” I answered. He came over to me. “Nothing?” he asked holding me. “No,” I replied in the dark. I felt him smile as he whispered against my cheek, “Well, then, let’s have a proper do over. Like it should have been.” He let me go and went around the room lighting candles. I smiled as he came back over to me. “I love you Aston,” I said as he picked me up laying me across the bed moving with me. We were in the middle of the bed on our knees facing each other. “I love you too,” his hand touched my cheek,” more than you’ll ever know. You’re still everything to me, it’s like you’re in between every heartbeat.” I remembered the song JLS recorded a while back. He must have been thinking of me then. I smiled as Aston pulled me to him, “You have no idea how long I’ve waited to do this with you again.” “Maybe this time, things will be better after,” I said. “They will, I promise,” he replied. He kissed me as we fell back onto the bed. His hands moved up my sides pulling at the zipper on my dress in the back. I felt his hands run down me as he unzipped it, warm on my skin. He pulled his shirt off throwing it. I ran my hands up and down the front of him. He smiled as my dress fell off throwing it too. “You’re even better looking then I remember.” “You are too.” I unbuttoned his jeans. “Taking control are we?” he laughed biting his bottom lip. “Mhm,” I replied unzipping them as he kicked them off. “That’s what I love about you, it’s so easy being with you,” he said wrapping an arm around me pulling my under the blankets. My hands ran down his abs stopping at the beginning of his boxers. I looked up at him, he just smiled. The first time we hadn’t done this, it wasn’t like this. My hand ran along the edge, I heard his breathing speed up, anxious to see what I’d do. I loved him, he was my best friend. We’d be together for real now if…I stopped myself. That didn’t matter now. All that mattered was us, him and me, right here, right now.

Chapter 39:

He watched me as my hand started to move lower, “If you want me to stop, tell me.” “I don’t want you to,” he replied looking at me with those amazing brown eyes that I could get lost for days in. I felt him against my hand so I started moving with him as he closed his eyes, biting his bottom lip again. I loved his facial expressions, I wanted him right then. A couple minutes later he pulled my hand away, breathless, “I need you. I can’t take it anymore.” He took off his boxers, landing somewhere in his room. He unhooked my bra and it went flying. I heard it hit the floor as he trailed kisses from my ear down my neck across my shoulder and back up again. Aston’s hands pulled down my underwear I kicked them off. I put my hand behind his neck pulling him to me, kissing his neck. “Mmmm…that feels good,” he said closing his eyes, wrapping his arms around me. “Good,” I whispered touching him again. He let out a moan as my hand moved with him again. I felt his hand on me. “Ast,” I sighed. “No one can hear you babe,” he replied close to my ear. I felt him reach over to his dresser pulling out a rectangle. He smiled leaning down kissing me again. A few seconds later I heard a wrapper then he was easing into me. “Not hurting you am I?” he asked. “No,keep going,” I answered. It hurt for a second, I guess cause it’d been so long. I felt him moving in me, his arms around me whispering, “I love you more than anything.” I smiled back at him as we moved back and forth under his blankets, “I love you more.” He kissed every free part of me holding me tight. “You feel good,” he said against my mouth. “You do too……oh Aston,” I replied, moaning softly as he moved in and out of me, my hands on his back keeping him close to me. He caressed my cheek, “Never seen anything more beautiful.” I kissed him and Aston deepened it, parting my mouth, our tongues together. He felt so good I never wanted it to end. It was better than the first time.

Chapter 40:

I woke up to Aston breathing softly on my neck still sleeping, his arms around me under his sheets. I just laid there thinking of what happened last night. I’d slept with Aston. He’d slept with me. What about Keshani and Marvin? They’d probably never talk to either one of us again. Last night was one of the best nights of my life though. I drifted back to sleep waking up as I felt Aston move behind me. “Morning beautiful.” ”Morning,” I said as my phone rang. I picked it up off Aston’s dresser. It was Marvin. I picked it up. “Hello?” I said. “Hey babe, sleep well?” he asked. I felt Aston’s arms tighten around me. “Yeah, great,” I replied,” You?” “It was alright, would have been better if you were next to me. My cousin’s kept nagging me about you. They want to meet you,” he answered. “Awww, tell them I said hi yeah?” “I will, we’ll were suppose to be going to this museum tour thing so I just wanted to call and make sure you’re alright,” he said. “I’m alright.” “I can’t wait till I get back, I miss you a lot Marina.” I felt so bad talking to him on the phone after I was in Aston’s bed. “I miss you too Marv,” I replied. “I’ll see you Sunday night babe,” he said before hanging up. I put the phone back on the dresser before turning over to face Aston.

Chapter 41:

“You alright babe?” he asked. “Yeah, just feel bad for lying,” I replied. “It’ll be alright,” he answered pulling me close.  We spent the day lying in his bed doing what we did last night over and over.  I couldn’t get enough of him, he couldn’t get enough of me. Sunday we walked around shops in town and he bought me a bracelet. “Aston, I don’t need it,” I protested. “I want to buy it for you,” he replied kissing my cheek putting it on my wrist, “As a symbol of my love for you.” I smiled accepting it. Marvin was suppose to be home tonight. “Aston, I’ve got to be home by seven. Marvin’s plane gets in at eight.” “Oh. Alright, I’ll take you,” he said as he wrapped his arms around me from behind as we continued walking. I had to end this soon…

Chapter 42:

I walked into our apartment after Aston dropped me off. I threw my keys on the table and went upstairs sitting on my bed. I put my stuff away when I heard the door unlock. I went out to the top of the staircase and saw Marvin standing there. He dropped his bags leaving the door open and ran up to me. “God, Marina, I missed you,” he said picking me up. My legs wrapped around him. “I missed you too Marv,” I replied. His hands ran through my hair as he kissed me walking into my room. My door shut and I felt his lips all over me. “I’m glad I’m home,” he said laying beside me. “Me too,” I replied. Alizar came in a couple minutes later wanting us to go out with the boys. Marvin said we should so we all got ready.

Chapter 43:

A couple minutes later a car pulled up with JB and Aston walking inside. “Hey guys,” Marvin said shaking their hands. We all sat down waiting. “Coming soon bruv?” Marv yelled up the stairs. “Yeah,” Reesh yelled back. Alizar and hit walked down and we  were all in the living room. “Let’s party tonight!” Aston yelled winking at me as we all went out the door starting to the club.

Chapter 44:

We got into the VIP area and I saw a familiar face walk up to us. “Ashika, what are you doing here?” I asked her. “Just out here on holiday,” she hugged me. I introduced her to everyone before we started dancing. Everyone went out together and Tino Coury’s Up Against the Wall came on. We were all dancing together and then everyone spread out into couples. Ashika danced with Aston. We were all having a good time. Enrique Iglesias’ I like It came on blasting. “I love this song,” I shouted. JB and Savi went to get drinks and Marvin was kind of tired soo he went and sat down. Me, Ast, Reesh, Alizar, Ashika were all dancing together. “I’m going to sit the next song out,” Ashika yelled walked back through the crowd to the table. Aston pulled me into his arms. “Ast,” I said. “We’re just dancing,” he whispered back.

Chapter 45:

I love Rock n Roll by Britney Spears came on. “This is an old song,” I said against Ast, “but I still like it.” Me and Aston started moving with each other dancing. I started singing along to the song and Aston laughed and smiled. I felt someone’s eyes on me as Aston held onto my waist, me in front of him. I turned around facing him as we kept moving. I felt someone’s hands pull me away. I looked up and saw Marvin standing there. “You just looked so good I wanted a dance too,” he replied. I moved over to him, Aston looked sad but grabbed another girl off the floor. I started dancing with Marvin. He had some good moves but it wasn’t like dancing with Ast. “Said can I take you home where we can be alone,” I sang as we moved around the floor Aston was in front of me. Marvin’s back to him. “Sounds like a good idea,” he mouthed smiling. I smiled back.

Chapter 46:

Another song came on and I told Marvin I had to get some air. I walked out of the club and off to the side alley. I was standing there when I felt someone walk up to me. “Hey,” it was Aston, “I hate seeing you dance with him.” “I know.” I replied back. He wrapped his arms around me pulling me close. “I did like when you danced me with though,” he smiled kissing me. Fireworks went off. I kissed him back. A door opened and we quickly pulled away. “Marina,” I heard Marvin call. “Uhhh, he ruins everything,” Aston whispered. “Sorry Ast,” I said. I walked into the light under the lamp post. “Over here Marv,” I said as he walked over to me. “Hey,” he said hugging me. Aston stood there watching in the shadows. Marvin couldn’t see him, didn’t know he was there. “Ready to come back inside?” he asked. “Um, yeah,” I replied. His hands moved to my face, “First..” He leaned in kissing me. I kissed him back, knowing Ast was still there. He turned around starting to walk inside the club, “I’ll be there in a sec.” I said. “Alright babe,” he said going back inside. Aston came out of the shadows. He looked sad, “Can’t believe I had to see that.” “I’m sorry Aston, what was I suppose to do?” I said. “I know,” he said pulling me back into the shadows. He kissed me as he leaned me back up against the side wall. “I love you,” he whispered kissing me neck. “I love you too Ast,” I replied pulling him close to me. “I want you,” he said and I could feel him against me. “Ast, not here,” I said pushing him away. He laughed, “When then?” “I’m not sure,” I said. “I’ll come over tonight,” he answered. “Alright,” I said, “I’ll text you after everyone is asleep.”

Chapter 47:

We stayed at the club till about 2 am then everyone went home. Me and Marv got back to the apartment and I said I was tired, that I wanted to sleep. He said okay, kissed me and went into his room. I waited until I heard him snoring then text Ast to come over. ( I’m here. Axx) I went and locked my bedroom door and opened my window. ( Come to my window.) A few minutes later I saw a figure standing outside. He climbed inside as I shut the window. “Hey,” he whispered. “Hey,” I said, “We have to be quiet.” “Okay,” he smiled pulling me close to him. He leaned In kissing me as I kissed him back and we kicked off our shoes, he pulled me to the bed. “I missed you,” he said against my neck. “I missed you too Ast,” I whispered back. We moved under the blanket as he pulled my dress off and I pulled his shirt over his head. He kicked off his pants and all our clothes fell to the floor. “I’m happy you’ve only been with me this way,” he said as he kissed me. I smiled back, “Me too.” I heard a wrapper and then we were making love….

Chapter 48:

I woke up to knocking on the door. “Yeah?” I yelled. “Babe open up,” Marvin said on the other side. I looked over and Aston was laying there sleeping. He looked so amazing even when he was asleep. “ One sec,” I said. I shook Aston awake. “Hey babe,” he said. “Ast, Marv is at the door,” I replied. “Well, he’s going to know about us sooner or later. It’s your call babe.” He said looking at me. I decided. I went and opened the door so it was cracked. “Yeah?” I said. Marv stood there. “Wanna come have breakfast with me?” he smiled. “Actually Marv, we’ve got to talk.” I said. “Alright, what’s wrong babe?” he asked. “I don’t know how to tell you this but…” I started. “I’m still in love with her,” Aston said behind me walking into the door way with his jeans on but no shirt. Marvin just stood there speechless… “Marv, say something,” I said. “I can’t believe you’d do this to me,” he said looking at Aston. “I can’t believe you either Marina, after everything… you, you’re such a…” he said getting angry. Aston stepped out if front of me. “Hey, don’t talk to her like that,” he said, “I’m the one that started this. Not her.”  In a split second Marvin’s hand slammed against Aston’s face. They started fighting and ended up in my room. Alizar, and Reesh, along with Savi came running out and into the hallway. “What’s going on?” they said as we watched them. “Stop please, don’t fight, stop it,” I yelled. They didn’t listen and just kept on. Marvin slammed Aston against my desk and making him punch Marvin in the stomach. They just kept on and on. “Reesh, do something,” Alizar said. The three of us stood there watching. Reesh pulled Aston out of the room. “Come on bruv, Calm down,” he said making Aston go downstairs. Marvin moved around my room shoving everything off my desk. “I don’t want you around me ever again. You shouldn’t be living here either. MOVE OUT!” he yelled before going into his room slamming the door. I sat on my bed crying as Savi and Alizar sat with me omforting me. Reesh went downstairs to see if Ast was okay.

 

Chapter 49:

“You did the right thing,” Savi said. “Yeah, least he knows now,” Alizar said as they sat with me. “I have to see if Ast is okay,” I said getting up. I ran downstairs and saw him in the kitchen his cheek was all red and he had a cut above his eye, and his shirt was ripped. “Marina,” was all he said. I took him into the bathroom down stairs and started cleaning him up. “I’m so sorry Aston,” I said as I band aided his forehead. “It’s alright, I’m tough, besides, I’m not afraid to fight for the girl I love,” he replied. He pulled me into a hug kissing my forehead. “Guess I have to move out now,” I said quietly. “You can come live with me,” he said, “I wouldn’t want anyone else living with me.” “Alright,”I smiled as he wiped away my tears.

Chapter 50:

The next week Aston came over helping me pack, Alizar and Savi didn’t want me to leave but they understood. Marvin didn’t forgive Aston 100% but he was coming around I suppose. He still didn’t want to see me. I understood. He stayed gone while I moved out. I took the necklace off he bought me handing it to Savi to give back to him. “We’re gonna miss living with you girl,” she said taking it. Her and Alizar hugged me and Aston carried my stuff out to his car. “I know, but we’ll hang out all the time,” I replied. “Time to go babe,” Aston said. “For the record,“ they said, “Were glad you’re together. Just wish Marv didn’t have to get hurt.” Me and Ast smiled as we walked down the steps getting into his car.  We drove to his house and then took everything inside. “Well unpack tomorrow babe,” he said as we took the last box inside sitting it in the living room. “Alright,” I replied. “Well,” he said picking me up, “Welcome home babe.” He smiled, “Finally were together. No more sneaking.” He smiled as he walked us into our room.

Three Months Later:

Chapter 51:

“Babe,” Aston opened the door, “Ready?” “Yeah,” I replied, “Come upstairs Ast.” I heard him walk up the stairs and open the bathroom door. “Yeah babe?” “Can you help me?” I asked pointing to the zipper on my dress. “Yes I can,” he smiled that cheeky smile at me getting behind me and pulling my zipper up a bit then starting to pull it back down. “Ast, what are you doin? We’re supposed to be there soon,” I said. I felt his lips on my neck, his breath, from behind sending shivers down my spine. “Nothing,” he whispered. My dress fell to the floor and he pulled me into his arms. “Don’t be shy, you know you want me,” he laughed looking at me. His eyes were amazing... He walked me backwards into the bedroom from the bathroom and kissed me all over. “I love you,” he whispered. “I love you too Ast,” I replied pulling him down on top of me. He smiled, “You better.” As his clothes fell onto the floor.

Chapter 52:

We finally arrived at the club about a hour and a half later. “Time to get down babe,” Aston walked behind me with his arms around me as we got to the VIP section. Reesh and JB were there already with Alizar and Savi. “Whooo you guys made it,” JB said. We got drinks and then started out to the dance floor. I was in front of Aston when Break Your Heart by Taio Cruz came on. Everyone was having a good time until we saw them walk in. “Marina look,” Ast nudged me. I looked over and saw….

Chapter 53:

I looked over and saw Marvin walking with Keshani. They were holding hands. “You alright babe?” Ast asked whispering in my ear. “Yeah,” I replied, “You?” “Yeah,” he smiled. They smiled as they walked passed us and went to the table. “Should we go over there?” Aston asked. “Um, Might as well, have to face them again sooner or later,” I replied as he took my hand. We walked over to the table and sat down. “Hey man,” Ast said to Marv. “Hey,” they shook hands. Keshani smiled at me and I smiled back still feeling kind of bad for being with Ast in front of her. “So, you guys together now?” Aston asked Keshani. “Yeah, he’s the best,” she said looking up at Marv. They looked like they were in love. “And you’re amazing too babe,” Marv replied pulling her close. She laughed as JB and Reesh along with Alizar and Savi came back setting down. “Enough sitting guys, let’s go party,” Reesh shouted picking up Alizar. “Reesh, put me down,” she yelled laughing as he carried her to the dance floor. He turned around, “Coming?” We laughed as we all got up and followed them. All of us got in a group and everyone was dancing together. JB and Savi went to get more drinks as Usher came on DJ got us fallin’ in love. “I like this song,” I told Aston. The club was going crazy and it was so loud. Everyone was having a good time just partying.

   

Chapter 54:

Around four am we all left the club and went home. I was happy as I fell into bed with Aston. Happy I finally made the right choice. “Babe,” he said in the darkness. “Yeah?” “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he said and I felt him pull me close. I smiled to myself. “ I love you Ast,” I said. “Well, how about you show me then..” I heard him laugh as he pulled me on top of him. Hands roaming, clothes being pulled off, blankets and sheets being ruffled, Aston’s skin against mine, warm. His breath on my neck, my shoulders, his lips on mine, hands running through my hair, stroking my face, pulling me close as we could get, till we moved together as one. I was complete with him. Everything that had happened was all worth this right now…this moment with him. We laid in bed together afterwards. “Marina, I wanted to ask you something,” Aston said quietly. “What is it Ast?” He sat up the sheet covering the bottom of him. He got something out of the drawer. He moved looked at me, “I’ve been thinking about this since I met you again, even when you were with Marv, I love you more than anything, I always have and I always will. Nothing is going to change that, ever since we were little so what am asking is…will you marry me?” he opened the box. Tears filled my eyes. I couldn’t believe it. “Yes Aston I’ll marry you.” I almost yelled happily. He smiled taking the ring out of the box and putting it on my hand. He pulled me in and kissed me. “I love you,” I said. “I love you more,” he answered pulling me back down to the bed...
