Chapter 1: You're Here:
I lay down on my bed it’s around ten it’s storming, I should be sleeping. Its Saturday, its summer and I’m taking the semester off from college. I just laid there for a couple minutes not wanting to move staring at my ceiling. I was almost asleep when I heard my doorbell ring. I got off the bed and walked downstairs as it rung again. I opened the door and there stood darin, my best friend. “Hey love,” he said as he pulled me into a hug. “Hey. It’s been forever. I missed you.” “I missed you too. I was recording a new record but I’ve got a month off now.” He hugged me tighter as he kicked the door closed with his foot. He let go as I looked at him, same darin, still blackish brown hair amazing brown eyes and shy smile. “Where’s your family?” he asked pulling off his coat and running his hand through his hair. “My aunts, they’re spending the night because of the storm it’s supposed to get a lot worse so I’m glad you showed up when you did.” Just then thunder and lightning cracked and rumbled outside. I immediately grabbed onto him. He smiled, “its okay. I’ll protect you Marina.” I smiled into his t-shirt. I loved how he smelled. He put his arms around me and pulled me close. “I hate storms,” I said. “I know. But I’m here now. You’re not alone anymore.” The rain was pounding so hard it sounded like it was going to come through the roof. “So since your family’s gone, can I crash on your couch?” “Of course. I wouldn’t make you leave when it’s storming like this.” I walked into the kitchen and grabbed us cokes. We sat on the couch. “How was your recording?” “Good I guess. I wrote a lot.” We opened our sodas in unison. We laughed and his eyes met mine, “So um, how’s America been?” “Okay. I missed you a lot though. I hate not getting to see you a lot. I’m glad you’re here.” “Me too.”

Chapter 2: Lights Out
The thunder kept rumbling and the rain pounded harder. “I’m going to get some candles in case the lights go out.” “I’ll go with you.” He walked up the stairs behind me and held the candles as I gave them to him. I shut the closet door back and found a lighter in the bathroom. “Darin?” I asked as I came out. “In here,” he yelled. I followed his voice into my bedroom. He was putting candles all around my room. “This way if anything happens, you’ll be alright.” He smiled at me. As soon as he did the lights went out. “Well I guess its good you got them out. Hand me the lighter.” I could make him out by the lightening outside the window. He lit each candle one by one until the room was lit with them. We sat on my bed after and talked for a while about his tour, CDs, us being best friends, him being in Sweden. By then it was around midnight. “I guess we should go to bed,” he said getting up off the bed. “Ok.” I smiled. He took a candle off my dresser and started for my door. There was a loud rumble outside. “Darin, wait. Don’t go. Stay in here with me.” “You sure?” he asked turning and looking at me. “Yes, I’m sure. Only if you promise to not attack me after I go to sleep.” “I can’t promise that,” he said laughing, “I wouldn’t.” “Then, stay here, with me. I don’t want to be alone.” “Alright,” he closed my door and put the candle back on my dresser. I got off my bed and got out my track shorts and a tank top. “Can you turn around?” “Sure,” he said and turned around. I dressed quickly then said, “Ok. You can look now.” He turned around and smiled, “You always look so beautiful. I’m going to undress now.” I turned around and when he said ok a couple seconds later he was in a tank top and boxers. I moved my blankets down and we lay down side by side.

Chapter 3: Do You Love Me?
“Do you remember when we were younger and I’d sing to you whenever you’d get scared?” “Yes, I remember,” I said as we faced each other. Then he started to sing, “I can't stop can't stop this love no matter what they say I love you I can't stop can't stop I love you no matter what they say I love you they say this love is the impossible kind and we were strong enough to fight for this life I can't stop can't stop this love no matter what they say I love you…” I smiled, “I remember that song. It’s the one you sang at the wedding.” “Yes it is. Every time I sang it I thought of you,” he said caressing my cheek with his hand. “Me? Why?” I asked looking at him. “Well, because …..Ever since I met you I’ve….I’ve been in love with you. I just didn’t want to ruin our friendship so I didn’t ever say anything. And I understand if you don’t love me like that, but it’s been 6 years so I’d thought I’d tell you,” he said avoiding my eyes and then looking at me for a response. I didn’t say anything. “Ok, well, I think I should go now,” He said moving off my bed putting back on his clothes and taking a candle walking out my bedroom door.

Chapter 4: I knew It:
I just sat there for a second as I heard him start down the stairs. I got off my bed and ran out my door to the top of my stairs, “Darin, wait.” He turned around on the middle of the stairs. “I love you too.” I ran down the stairs to where he was standing,” I love you too. I just didn’t say anything because I would have never thought you’d love me back.” He put the candle down and put his arms around me and whispered, “I do love you. More than anything.” “That makes me happy,” I said as the rain outside continued pounding on the house. “Let’s go back to my room,” I said getting the candle and taking his hand leading us back to my room. We walked in and I shut the door and he put the candle down on my dresser once again. He looked at me and smiled that sweet smile he always did, his eyes dancing with love. I smiled back. “So you love me?” he asked moving towards me till he was so close I could hear him breathing. “Yes. I love you,” I answered nervously. I shouldn’t be nervous. Were best friends have been for six years since I met him in Sweden before he went and auditioned for Idol over there and came in second. “So then…. you won’t mind if I ask to kiss you then?” he whispered into my ear holding onto me, his arms around my waist. “No. I want you too,” I replied. His one hand moved to my face cupping my cheek in his hand the other pulling me closer to him. He leaned in and I closed my eyes as his lips met mine and he kissed me in my candle lit room. Sparks ignited inside me like fireworks going off thousands at once, I was on cloud nine. I put my arms around his neck and he kissed me soft and first then with more force. I stopped kissing him out of breath after a couple minutes. He pulled away breathless too. I turned around while he undressed back into his boxers and tank top and we climbed back into my bed and under the covers. I lay close, facing him and he put his arm around me. He kissed my forehead. “I’m glad I came back.” “Me too. I miss you too much when you’re gone,” I said moving closer to him, our legs tangled up together.

Chapter 5: Only You
“I’m not going anywhere for the next month and when I am leaving, you’re coming with me till you have to go back to school,” he said running his fingers through my hair. “Really. You sure?” “Yes, I want you with me.” He kissed me and I moved so I was under him as we kept kissing. He was above me and was holding me while I had my arms around his neck pulling him close to me. “I love you Marina,” he whispered into my ear. “I love you too darin,” I said against his mouth. He pulled away and looked at me, “If I do something you don’t want me to tell me and I’ll stop. I don’t want to do anything you don’t want to too. Ok?” “Ok. But I don’t want you to stop,” I said smiling. “You know what I mean Marina.” “I know….I’ll tell you.” “Alright.” I pulled him back down to me. He lips met mine, his hands running up and down me. I started pulling off his shirt and he helped pulling it over his head, throwing it on the floor. We kept kissing, hands exploring. “You taste good,” he told me as he kissed me neck up and down. “You taste good too,” I said running my fingers up and down his sides. He laughed, “Hey that tickles.” “Sorry. I couldn’t resist,” I said laughing too. He smiled at me, that sweet smile. He was my darin. “Darin, can I ask you something?” “You can ask me anything,” he replied caressing me. “Will you make love to me?” “Yes, I will,” he said glancing at me then looking down at the blanket. “Right now?” I asked nervously. “Right now? I mean I want to make love to you but you want me to right now?” he asked looking nervous too. “Yes, I want you to right now,” I answered, “I love you. Make love to me.” “Are you sure?” he asked wanting to make sure I knew what I wanted. “Yes, I want you. I want all of you. And I want you to have all of me.” He smiled and got close enough I could feel the heat from his breathe on my lips, “I’ve never loved anyone but you and if I can help it, I won’t ever love anyone else.” “Oh, darin,” I said pulling him into a tight hug, “I feel the same way.” He grabbed on tight too not wanting to let go, “You’re amazing, I adore your every move. You make me a better person.” I smiled, “You’re everything to me, the only thing that matters to me anymore.” He kept his arms around me as I slowly fell asleep with him under my blanket.

Chapter 6: Did he really say that?
I opened my eyes in the middle of the night to a dark room, the candles blown out, it still storming outside. After my eyes adjusted to the darkness I looked around me room. Feeling darin’s arms around me I looked behind me and he was sleeping. I couldn’t believe that he’d told me that he loved me. That he wanted me. He was huge in Sweden and Europe. He could have anybody but he wants me. I smiled to myself then remembered darin’s jacket was still downstairs and when my mom came in she’d see it. I quietly climbed out of my bed, lit a candle and went downstairs. I found his jacket where I’d left it and grabbed it hurrying back up to my room. Once inside I locked my door and took the candle over to my side table. “Hey, why’d you go down stairs?” Darin asked scaring me. “Hey, I didn’t mean to wake you up. I went to get your jacket.” I held it up for him to see. “Oh,” he replied, “Well, put it down and come here.” I put it in my closet and then crawled back in bed, him pulling me towards him. “You’re warm,” I said getting as close as I could to him. Lightening lit up my bedroom as I buried my head into his chest. “Shhh…it’s alright,” he said holding me.

Chapter 7: I'm Staying with You
. “You’re safe with me,” he held me tighter; “I won’t let anything hurt you.” “What are we going to tell my mom in the morning?”I asked. “Um, well just tell her I came to see you because I have the next month off,” he said in the darkness. “Do you think she’ll buy it? I mean because you are in my bed with me,” I replied. “We’ll tell her that you were scared of the storm and didn’t want to sleep alone so I came and slept on your floor.” “Good thinking.” He smiled at me and kissed my forehead,” I mean I want to tell your mom but I don’t think we should until after the month is up.” “Why?” I asked curiously. “So maybe she might let me stay here. Cause I want to be with you. And because I don’t have anywhere else to stay.” “Really? That’d be awesome,” I said happily, “I hope she says yes.” “Me too,” he said,” But if not I don’t know what I’m going to do.” “I don’t want you to go,” I said feeling sad looking down and the blanket. He took my chin in his hand, “Hey. Look if she says no, then I’ll rent a hotel for a month ok? I’m not leaving you. I’m not going anywhere. I promise. I love you.”I smiled hugging him, “I love you too.” He held me as I lay in front of him and we slowly fell asleep.

Chapter 8: I thought you left...
I opened my eyes to the sun pouring in through my window. I turned around and darin was gone. I knew I dreamed he came here. It was way too good to be true. No way would he ever say he loved me I thought to myself. I climbed out of bed and into my bathroom to take a shower. I walked out of the bathroom in a towel twenty minutes later hearing what sounded like singing downstairs. My mom must have the radio on while she’s doing something I thought. I opened my dresser getting clothes when someone knocked on my door. “Come in,” I said thinking it was my mom. The door opened and darin was standing inside my doorway staring at me, “Oh my god. I’m sorry Marina.” He shielded his eyes with his hand. “Darin. You’re here.” I ran to him with my towel still on and wrapped my arms around him. “I told you I wasn’t leaving,” he smiled holding me. “I thought it was a dream. I woke up and you were gone.” “Oh. Well that’s because I was downstairs. Get dressed and come down I have a surprise for you. You’ll love it.” He let me go and kissed me. I kissed him back holding my towel so it wouldn’t fall off. He closed my door and walked back downstairs. I got my clothes out and hurried up and dressed in a tee shirt and sweat pants. I wanted to be comfortable. I put my hair in a pony tail and walked out my door and to darin downstairs.

Chapter 9: Where are we going?
. I walked down the stairs smiling to myself happy he stayed. He was standing at the bottom smiling that sweet smile of his I’d come to love. “Hey,” he said taking my hand. “Hi,” I said. “You look beautiful;” he said he put his hands over my eyes and led me.”Where are we going?” I asked. “You’ll see,” he said and led me for a couple more minutes until I sat down. “You can look now,” he moved his hands. I opened my eyes and there was a table full of breakfast. “Wow. Darin, you made all this?” I asked. “Yeah,” he answered sitting down across from me, “Threes something else too.” He reached down and pulled a rose from under the table. “This is for you,” he got up and handed it to me and kissed my forehead. “It’s beautiful. Thank you,” I said taking it smiling. He sat back down and we started eating breakfast. He made eggs, pancakes, toast, bacon, fried potatoes, cereal, and orange juice. After we were done eating, we went and sat on the living room. “I talked to your mom earlier this morning,” Darin said holding me. “Really? What did you guys talk about?”I asked.

Chapter 10: You're kidding right?
. “I told her everything. Well, except me being in love with you. She asked why I came from upstairs and I told her you were scared. And that I needed a place to stay. She said of course. That I’m always welcome,” he said. I was speechless, “Are you serious? Cause if you’re playing it’s really not funny….” “I’m not kidding. I’m staying here with you. She said I can have the extra room because she’s not going to do anything with it.” I smiled, “Oh my god! This is freaking amazing!” I got off the couch and pulled him up with me. I put my arms around his neck and he pulled me close holding me. “I love you,” he said looking into my eyes. “I love you too,” I said kissing him... “So you’re going to be my room neighbor.” “Yeah.I can’t wait. So now that I’m staying here, what should we do?” he asked. Just then the doorknob turned and we both sat down on the couch acting normal.

Chapter 11: Unpacking
“My mom walked in carrying groceries. “Hey honey,” she said shutting the door, “Did darin tell you the news?” “Yeah mom. That’s so awesome you’re letting him stay here.” I got up and hugged her. “You’re welcome. Don’t make me regret it though. Help me there are more groceries out in the car. Hey darin,” she said hugging me with them in her hands. “Hello,” he said. “Come on, “I said smiling as I opened the front door and he walked out behind me. He closed the door as we walked down the front steps. We walked over to the open truck and grabbed Wal-Mart bags. His shoulder brushed against mine and I smiled at him. We carried all the groceries in the house and then went to his car and got his stuff he’d brought from Sweden and carried it up to the extra room. I sat them on the bed and sat at the edge. “Thanks for helping me carry this stuff up here,” he said sitting beside me. “You’re welcome. You want me to help you unpack?” “Sure,” he kissed my cheek. I opened up his book bag and took out his IPod and photo album with the pictures of us over the years, “You kept this?” I held it up. “Yes,” he said taking it from me, opening it, “I carry it with me everywhere I go. That way I can always look at you when I miss you. That way we’re never really apart.” He looked at me. I smiled walked out in the hall and heard my mom downstairs. I walked over to him and kissed him.

Chapter 12: Its Beautiful
. He kissed me back taking his hands and holding both sides of my head. This can’t get any better I think. “Can I sleep in your room tonight? I mean after your mom goes to sleep?” he asked me after he let go. “If you want to,” I said holding his hand. “I want to,” he smiled, “Oh. I almost forgot. I brought you something back from Sweden.” “What?” I looked questioning. He went and opened his duffel bag and moved stuff around before coming out with a box, “This.” He walked over sat on the bed with me. He opened it and I glanced inside, “Oh my God. Darin, it’s beautiful.” Inside was this beautiful silver heart shaped locket necklace. He look it out and I moved my hair as he put it around my neck. “I guess that means you like it?” he asked smiling at me. “I love it.” “Good.” We turned on the radio in the room and he stood up, “Will you dance with me?” I took his hand, “Yes.” A slow song came on and we were so close I could feel his breath on my lips, our shoulders were touching. Good thing my mom was still down stairs. “Want to know a secret?” he whispered to me. “Yes,” I said leaning my head on his shoulder. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he whispered as the song ended. I looked up and smiled, “You must be reading my mind because I’m thinking the same thing about you.” “Really?” “Mhm.” He twirled me around in a hug before letting me go, “That makes me happy.”

Chapter 13: Courage
.” We finished unpacking listening to the radio and kissing in between. My mom came upstairs while we were unpacking and called us down for dinner. We went down and ate, she made pizza. She talked to darin about his tour and stuff. We acted like nothing was different between us joking and stuff. After dinner darin and I went up to my room and took pictures with my camera. We lay on my bed talking about his music and stuff when he said, “I wrote you something.” “What is it?” “It’s a song. When we weren’t together I wrote it when I was thinking about you. Want to hear it?” “Duh.” I laughed. “Of course I do.” “Ok. Hold on.” He got his iPod from his room and turned it on putting on this song. “Listen,” he handed me the earphones. I put them on and this beautiful song came on. ‘So here we are, Trying to talk some sense into our hearts This can't be love We're best of friends and that should be enough But if that's true Tell me why I'm holding on to you Like I'd never let you go What if I kissed you now And turned it all around What if I kissed you now And stars fell to the ground? Chapter 14: Come with me
we spent the rest of the night listening to music and talking on my bed. Around one in the morning my mom came up to say she was going to sleep and we should too so I pretended to say goodnight to Darin while my mom stood there. He waved bye and said goodnight to us both and went in his room closing the door. I told my mom goodnight and went inside my room. I heard her open and close her door. I waited twenty minutes later, opened my door and tip toed to hers. I put my ear to her door and heard her snoring inside. Score I thought. I walked over to darin’s room and opened the door. He was lying in the bed with his IPod in his ears. “Hey,” I whispered, “Come on.” He climbed out of his bed and took my hand. We walked slowly and quietly across the hall back into my room. Once inside he held me and kissed my neck. “I missed you even though it was only twenty minutes,” he whispered, “Every minute I’m away from you is like a thousand years to me.” I smiled, “I missed you too. I hate being in here alone.” “Well, you don’t have to be alone anymore. I’m here.” I hugged him and he walked me backwards to my bed. He picked me up in his arms and laid me down. “You have the most amazing eyes I’ve ever seen,” he said lying down beside me. I turned so I was facing him. All the sudden I heard a door open and my mom yawning, “Darin. My mom.” I froze and my heart starting beating fast. He moved fast and got into my closet quietly. My door turned and opened just as he was shutting my closet door. My mom came in half asleep, “Hey honey. You ok?” “Yeah mom,” I said pretending to yawn, “Just had a bad dream. I’m ok.” “Alright.I’ll see you in the morning then. I’m going to go to the bathroom then check on darin to make sure he’s ok. Goodnight.” “Goodnight mom.” She closed my door and I heard her walk towards the bathroom. Darin opened up my closet door, “I’ll be back.” He opened my door and went into his. I heard it close softly and a couple minutes later I heard my mom come from the bathroom and into her room. She didn’t even stop at darin’s.

Chapter 15: Come Find Me
. I walked over to his door opened it and climbed into bed with him. He smiled at me and kissed my forehead. He wrapped his arms around me and we fell asleep. I woke up in the morning with his arms still around me. “Hey. Good morning,” he said from behind me and kissed my cheek. “Morning,” I said smiling at him. We laid there for a couple minutes. Then I remembered that I was in his room, “Darin, where’s my mom?!?!” “Don’t worry. She left early this morning for work. She didn’t even look to see where we were,” he said his chin against my neck. “Oh.ok. How long have you been awake?” “Since like seven. Its eight-thirty now,” he looked at the clock. “What are we doing today?” he asked. “I want to lay here with you,” I replied turning over and facing him, “But I know we can’t. Do you want me to show you the town?” “Sure, I’d love that,” he replied. “Good,” I got up and ran out of his room stopping in the doorway, “Come and get me.” “Are you sure you want that? I’ll win,” he replied smiling at me. “Yes,” I said laughing and ran into the hallway. I heard him climb off the bed starting after me. I ran into the bathroom and sat in the bottom of the closet inside. I heard him calling me,” Marina, where are you?” He walked downstairs. I slowly opened the door and ran out of the bathroom and into my room screaming, “Darin, come get me.”

Chapter 16: Ready?
“I’m going to get you," he yelled coming up the stairs. I got behind my desk and hid underneath it. I heard him open my door, “I know you're in here." I heard his footsteps around my room until he came around my desk, "I got you." We both started laughing. He pulled me up and into his arms smiling, "Should we get ready now?" "I guess so," I said. "Ok," he kissed me and walked out of my room. I got out blue jeans and a t-shirt and laid them on my bed. I got my towel and walked into my tiny bathroom turning on the shower. I took off what I'd slept in and stepped into the shower. I through the towel over the shower curtain and felt the warm water run over me. Twenty minutes later I was climbing out of the shower when darin knocked on my bedroom door, "You ready?" "Almost," I answered back from the bathroom.

Chapter 17: Uh-Oh:
After I got dressed in blue jeans and a t-shirt, I walked quietly downstairs. Darin was sitting at the kitchen table but he didn’t hear me come in. I walked up behind him wrapping my arms around his neck."Hey," I kissed his cheek. "Hey," he pulled me to face him, sitting me on his lap. Darin was wearing a white t-shirt under an open button down long sleeve checkered black and white shirt. He always looked so good. He smiled at me and my heart beat fast. He was so perfect and all mine. “You ready to go now?" he asked. “Yes." We got up and walked out the door to his car. He opened my door first, shut it after I was in and then went to his side. We drove around for a while just looking at the town. At six we went to the movies. He followed me and we sat in the top, middle row. "So, this is our first date?" he asked."Yeah.it is," I smiled. "Not the official one though. I’m taking care of that," he looked at me smiling. "Can't wait," I replied taking his hand as the lights turned low and the movie began. Darin held onto my hand the whole movie. Soundtrack music started playing as we walked out of the theatre, we were about halfway to darin’s car when I heard a familiar voice calling my name from behind us. Here we go I thought. "Marina, where you going?" "Let’s go darin," I said. We kept walking."Marina," he was getting closer. All the sudden someone grabbed my arm."Ow! Let go!" I turned watching Matt holding onto my arm."I was talking to you Marina," he said. "Hey, let her go," Darin said looking angry, pulling me away. "Who are you suppose to be? Her boyfriend?" Matt replied, "I'll let go when I want to let go." "Yeah. I am her boyfriend. And that was really the wrong answer," Darin pulled me away, "Go get in the car Marina." He threw me the keys. "Darin," I pleaded. I didn't want him to get hurt Matt was crazy. "Car, now." he said nodding to it. I ran and got inside, locking the doors. All I could do was watch in fear as Matt threw punches, darin blocking them. I could see their mouths moving but couldn't make out the words. Darin punched Matt in the face. I rolled the window down so I could hear what they were saying. Matt punched darin in the ribs. Darin elbowed him back, "If you come near her again, I swear you'll be sorry." Matt kept coming at Darin, I felt so bad. I got out of the car. I had to do something. As I was running to them, Matt punched darin once more. I kneed Matt between the legs and kicked him to the ground, "You're such an A’ hole." Darin was leaning over in pain. "Darin, are you alright? I’m so sorry." Tears started forming as I looked at him. He had a bruise on his cheek and he was holding onto his ribs. "I'm fine. Are you okay? Why'd you get out of the car?" "Because you're getting hurt because of me," I said tears running down my cheeks."Don't cry Marina. I’m fine ok? It’s not your fault. It’s not as bad as it looks. That guy shouldn't have grabbed you." I helped darin to the car and I drove us home. After I helped him inside and up to his bed, I went downstairs. My mom left a note on the fridge. She had a meeting in Boston and shed be back in three days, telling us to behave and that she'd call to check in. I ran to the bathroom and grabbed the first aid cit. walked into darin’s room feeling so low.

Chapter 18: We'll Be Fine:
I helped darin take off his two shirts and sit up. I bandaged him, wrapping it around his rib cage."I love you," he said. "I love you too. I’ll be right back," I went downstairs and got some ice putting it in a washcloth. Darin took it from me putting it on his cheek, "thank you." "You're welcome. I’m still so sorry you got hurt because of me." He looked at me," It’s not your fault ok? I'll be fine. We’ll be fine. I’m your boyfriend. I’m supposed to fight for you and protect you. I just want to know who that guy was." I lay down beside him on the bed, “That guy was Matt. A guy I dated for a month while you were in Sweden. He was nice at first but then got abusive so I left. I guess he just didn't get it." "He hurt you?" Darin questioned." He'd grab me like he did today. It hurt." "I'd never hurt you like that. You’re safe with me. I promise. Chapter 19: Don't want to hurt you:
He pulled me towards him kissing me. He let the wash cloth fall to the floor as his hands moved over me. We kept kissing, he moved us under the blanket. He pulled me against him."Darin, I don't want to hurt you." "You're not hurting me it makes me feel better." "Are you sure?" "Trust me Marina, you're not hurting me," he smiled. His hands ran through my hair then he pulled off my t-shirt. It landed on the floor behind him. His mouth ran from my lips down my neck to my shoulders and back again."Darin," I said breathlessly. "Yeah?" he kept kissing me."That feels good." I'm not sure how long passed while I laid there and he kissed me. He eventually pulled away. We smiled at each other. "I feel a lot better." He sat up so I could fix his bandage. I kissed his shoulder. He let out a sigh, "You're lips feel good on my skin." He closed his eyes. I kissed his as he lay back in the bed. My fingertips traced his arms up and down. I saw him smile. I kissed him once more then he pulled me down to lay next to him.

Chapter 20: Bandages:
My eyes opened to the clock reading 6:15 AM.I got off darin’s bed and went to the kitchen. There were three missed calls and a voicemail from my mom. Her voicemail said call her back, she was worried because we didn’t answer. I redialed her number telling her we fell asleep cause we were out all day yesterday. I left out the darin getting hurt part. She said there was another storm coming into town so being careful. I said o.k. grabbed darin and me orange juice and headed back upstairs. I went into darin’s room but he wasn't there. "Darin?" "I'm in here Marina," Water was running from the bathroom. Darin was standing in front of the mirror so good looking even with the bandage around his ribs. "Hey," once he saw me," Can you help me take this off? I heard hot water helps pains feel better. I'm willing to try it out." "Sure." I sat our orange juice in the hallway. I stood behind him in the bathroom undoing the bandages. Afterwards, I sat outside the bathroom door listening to darin sing while he was taking a shower. He sung can’t stop love. His voice was amazing.

Chapter 21: Alot Better:
The bathroom door opened with darin only wearing a towel. His hair was still kind of wet." Hey" he smiled at me. "Hey," I couldn't speak."I'm getting dressed but I wanted to know if you could put this back on for me. I tried but it won’t stay." Darin held up the bandage. I took it from him and followed him back into the bathroom .I wrapped it around him and made it stay in place with a safety pin. "Thanks Marina," he pulled me into a hug and kiss. He picked me up and sat me on the counter."I'm guessing you feel better."I said in between kisses. "Yeah, a lot better. Amazing what a shower can do," he smiled wrapping his arms around me. After a couple minutes I got out of the bathroom so he could put clothes on. I was in my room watching his DVD concert while he was. "He looked so amazing in nothing but a towel. Man..." I said to myself."Really? I knew you think I'm hot", darin said out of nowhere. I looked up feeling my face turn all red and he was standing in my doorway with his arms crossed."You scared me. I thought you were still getting dressed." He laughed, "Sorry. I couldn't resist. I love when you talk to yourself." "Glad I amuse you," I replied. "Aww...don't be mad. I think you're pretty hot too." I smiled.

Chapter 22: Phone Call:
I blushed while we were watching Darin's concert because he was singing the words to Give It to Me in my ears mostly because I did want to give it to him. I wanted him to be my first. I wanted to be his only. I was about to try and talk to him about it when his phone rang. He answered it as we sat on my bed. It was his manager. Darin spoke in Swedish to the other end of the line. Fifteen minutes later he hung up. "Do you want the good news or the bad news?" he asked taking my hand. "Bad," I said. "They want me back in Sweden next week" he said. "Oh," I answered not sure how to reply. He squeezed my hand gently, "The good news is you're coming with me. We just have to tell your mom when she gets home." "Oh yeah..." I replied. "Well, it'll be alright because I'm going to talk to your mom when she gets home. I'm going to tell her everything." Darin squeezed my hand smiling."I'm going to talk to her with you."

Chapter 23: Deep Breaths:
My mom got home the next morning at ten. Darin and I had fallen asleep in my bed. He held me close to him the whole night because of the storm. He was warm against me under the blanket, my head on his chest, and his arms around me. I never wanted it to end. We woke up to my mom coming in and he hurried into his room. I pretended to just wake up when she came into my room to tell me how her trip went. I told her darin and I went to the mall and movies. After I was fully awake darin and I went into his room to talk."I'm nervous about talking to your mom." He held my hand."Why?" I didn't understand why he was nervous. "I'm scared she'll say you can go or she'll hate me or something. But I don't want to go back if you're not going too. I’m in love with you. You're everything to me. Without you there’s no me." Darin looked at me with those amazing brown eyes. To think he wanted me I still couldn't believe it."It doesn't matter what he says. I’m going no matter what she says." I put my hand behind his head and kissed him. We stood at the top of the stairs taking deep breaths."Ready? There’s no turning back now," I asked. "Yeah. I am ready," he answered. We started down the stairs hand in hand. I prayed my mom would accept us but either way I wasn't leaving darin. We reached the bottom and my mom was flipping through the TV. "Hey mom," I said sitting on the couch. Darin sat down beside me. "Hey honey," she said finally settling on the news. "We have something we want to talk to you about," Darin said. My mom looked at us, saw our hands together, “What is it?" "Well to be completely honest with you ma'am.I've been in love with Marina since I met her. I just never had the guts to tell her until a few days ago. And she's in love with me too." Darin said looking at my mother. My mom just sat there, thinking not saying anything. I was prepared to tell her I loved darin no matter what she said. That I was going to Sweden no matter what she said. More time passed finally my mom spoke," I kind of knew anyway, the two of you were so close. I could see the love in your eyes." She got up and hugged darin and I."I'm happy for you." "One more thing mom, darin is leaving to go back to Sweden. He wants me to go with him until school starts back," I said. "Well, I know you'll have fun. You need to make sure you call me though okay?" "You mean I can go? It’s ok?" I said confused. Usually my mom would never agree to something like this. :"You're almost twenty honey, you're an adult. You don't have to ask me." Darin and I smiled at each other. My mom went to get stuff to celebrate darin and I and leaving for Sweden. Darin pulled me into a hug and swung me around before kissing me. "I can't believe this is happening." "Me either. But I'm glad it is." We spent the next week hanging out and packing. My mom followed us Friday night to see us off at the airport and soon we were on our way to Sweden.

Chapter 24: In the Air:
The airplane ride was long, like 20 hours. I didn't care though because I was sitting next to darin the whole time. He kept whispering in my ear singing to me, making me laugh. "I'm glad you're coming with me," Darin said taking my hand, "I couldn’t stand the thought of me leaving you alone again." I looked at him and smiled," me either. You "don't know how happy I am that you came back." There was an elderly woman sitting across from us. "The two of you remind me of me and my husband," she said smiling. "Really? Thank you," I said back to her. She opened her bag and took out a picture. It was black and white showing a younger her with a man in a navy uniform behind her hugging her. "We were married when I was eight-teen. Of course those were different times then. He was in the navy, went to the war. It was hard but you know, if you love each other, you can get through anything. In the end that’s all that matters. And I see love between you too. You’ll be fine." Darin handed her the photo back. She obviously didn’t know who he was or if she did she didn’t say anything. "Why are you two headed to Sweden if you don’t mind me asking?" "He lives here. I live in the U.S. I’m visiting him." "Aww, well isn’t that the sweetest thing. Well you two have a good time." She smiled and then turned talking to the person next to her. Darin fell asleep a couple of hours later. His head was on my shoulder. I didn’t mind though. He looked so cute when he was sleeping. I was worried about what everyone would say once we landed though. We took a regular plane because we didn’t want to get mobbed my fans when we landed. A car was supposed to pick us up at the airport. Right now though it was just darin and me. At least for the next few hours.

Chapter 25: Landing:
I woke up sleepily to the sun going down outside the airplane window as we landed. The sun set was breathtaking. I shook darin softly and he woke up. His eyes opened sleepily and he smiled that shy smile at me."Hey, how'd you sleep?" "Good, “He yawned, "You?" "Good." We landed and we got up and walked off the plane. This big, scary looking guy walked up to us and darin started talking to him. "It’s ok," Darin whispered," He’s my bodyguard. Well, our bodyguard now." He smiled. "Oh ok," I smiled back. His bodyguard followed us out to the back of the airport and we got into a car. Darin sat close to me in the back and his body guard sat up front with the driver. His arm was around me and whispered, “I have a surprise for you.”

Chapter 26: Surprise:
About an hour later, we pulled up to an apartment building and darin climbed out, taking me with him. I tried to grab my bags but darin’s body guard insisted he get it. “Just let him. I try to get my stuff too and he won’t let me,” Darin took my hand and we walked into the apartment building. “This way,” Darin lead me through a side door and up stairs. “Darin, where are we going?” I asked. “You’ll see. Told you it’s a surprise.” He smiled and we continued up the stairs. We got to the top and he held open the door for me, I walked out but I didn’t see anything.”Close your eyes,” he said and covered mine with his hands. He led me towards a chair and I sat down. He moved his hands as I looked around me. There were candles everywhere with the table set all fancy and I heard music playing. “You know how I told you I’d take care of our first “real” date? Well, this is it. What do you think?” “Its beautiful darin,” I answered. “Good.Im glad.” He took me in his arms and we slow danced to the piano music playing the instrumental of his song What If I Kissed You Now? He sang the words into my ears. When the song was over we sat down at the table and a bag of McDonalds was sitting on top. We ate and slow danced some more. I felt happy with him.

Chapter 27: You live here?
Around eleven we went back inside the building and down 4 floors to the twelfth one. We stepped out of the elevator and in front a door. “Ready to see my apartment?” Darin asked pulling a key out of his pocket. “You’re apartment? When did you get an apartment?” “A couple months ago. I couldn’t live with my parents forever.” He laughed and unlocked the door. I walked inside.”You live here?” I asked looking around.Oh my God I thought. His apartment was huge, a whole floor. It looked more like a house. He put his hand behind his head, “yeah,”he said nervously. “Just me, and you…now.” He smiled. He came and hugged me from behind and kissed my cheek. There was a knock at the door and darin went to open it. It was his body guard with our stuff. He carried it inside and quickly left.

Chapter 28: What Now?
“So what do you want to do now?” Darin asked locking the door. “Um, I don’t know….Do I get a tour?” I asked. “Of course, I almost forgot,” Darin took my hand and we walked out of the living room. “This is the kitchen,” he showed me a big kitchen space with an island /table in the middle. We walked to a door, “This is the bathroom.” He opened it and there was a hug tub and shower with two sinks and a TV. by the lights above the mirror. “It’s pretty,” I said walking inside it. “Well that’s good because this one is your sink.” He smiled touching it with his hand. “Next is the bedroom,” he opened the door beside the bathroom, “our bedroom.” It had a huge king size bed and canopy with a huge dresser and a plasma TV. It also had a huge window that overlooked Stockholm. “And finally, the closet.” He opened the door letting me in first, “This is our walk in closet. Do you like it?” “I love it darin it’s amazing.” I turned around and hugged him. “I’m glad; I got it with you in mind too.” I smiled.

Chapter 29: Unpacking…and other things:
Darin and I unpacked all of our stuff, inbetween a make out session, it took about 45 minutes. Afterwards, I went to take a bath. I went and got my clothes out of the amazing closet and I made my way into the bathroom. When I opened the door I saw darin pouring bubble bath into the running water. “I thought I’d help. You did say you wanted to take a bath.” He smiled. “Thanks. That’s sweet.” I smiled back. He kissed me grabbing me and twirling me around. “I can’t believe were finally together.Im so happy.” “Me too.” We danced together into the hallway kitchen and finally living room and back as the tub filled up. “I think I’m going to like living with you.” I said as darin turned off the bathwater. “Oh yeah? Why’s that?” “Cause I love you.” “I love you too.” He smiled and kissed my cheek. He faced the wall as I quickly undressed and climbed into the bathwater. “I swear you have to be the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.” I blushed turning beat red. “You think so?” “I know so.” We talked while I laid in the bathwater and washed my body with this really good strawberry smelling soap stuff from Bath and Body Works Darin bought for me while we were at the mall before our plane left, even though I told him he didn’t have to. “Darin, can you give me the towel?” “Yeah,” He walked out and came back a few seconds later opening the towel horizontally in front of the tub. I stood up and took the towel wrapping it around and securing it on me. He helped me step out and onto the marble floor. He closed the door behind him as I got dressed.

Chapter 30: Sleep maybe:
I walked into the bedroom and Darin was sitting on the bed. “Hey,” I said. “Hey,” he replied smiling. He got up and walked over to me putting his arms around me. “I love you,” he said holding me tight. “I love you too.” He kissed me and I kissed him back. He lifted me back onto the bed as we kept kissing. I moved back to the top of the bed and Darin moved over me kissing me.”Darin, wait,” I said. He stopped and sat up. “What’s wrong?” “I’ve been thinking and I…I want you to make love to me.” “Are you sure?” “Yeah.Positive.” He smiled, “I’ve wanted to make love to you for a long time. Ever since I told you I loved you but I didn’t want to move to fast.” I smiled at him, “I want you too. I love you. You’re my best friend. And I trust you. I know you won’t hurt me.” Darin smiled and looked up at me like he was asking to keep going. I smiled letting him know it was ok. He kissed my neck and his hands moved up and down me. He started pulling my huge t-shirt off I unbuttoned his shirt and he shrugged it onto the floor. He kept kissing me as my t-shirt fell to the floor. I unbuttoned and unzipped his pants and they landed on the floor. “I love you,”Darin said trailing kisses up and down my neck.”I love you too,” I replied. He pulled back the blanket on his bed and we climbed under. The next morning I woke up in Darin’s arms.
